Since I was so emotional when you and your staff completed my dentistry work last week, I will send my grattitudes here in this e-mail. I found you to be a very gentle and caring man. The two Lady Dr.'s. were also in your likeness. Very gracious and kind, all of you. I was very impressed at the coordination of the entire visit by healthbase. Everything went smoothly, taxis, hotel, appointments, perfecto! What you have done for me is eased my pain and given me a pretty smile, and I will never forget you. Never. I have estimated that over the past thirty (30) years I have spent at least $70,000 on dental care. During my childhood my father?s idea of dental care was to choose the least expensive method of care. This, plus several injuries to my face resulted in the loss of seven (7) permanent teeth. By the time I contacted Dr. Mora almost all my teeth were crowned, I wore a partial denture which I hated and I rarely smiled due to being self- conscious about my teeth. Even with all the work I had done my mouth was still a disaster and each time I visited my dentist the care got more expensive, the quality of work decreased and I saw no end in sight. I recently married and my husband and I decided it was time to have my teeth redone. I received a $45,000 estimate from my U.S. dentist, taking eighteen (18) months to complete the work. My husband spent five (5) months exploring dental tourism and we finally decided on Dr. Alejandro Mora Lasso.
We traveled to Liberia, Costa Rica where Dr. Mora?s colleague Dr. Andres Fernandez R. placed the implants. I had one (1) tooth pulled and immediately implanted, six (6) other implants placed and a sinus lift. We spent a week on vacation, went for a follow-up visit and flew home. Four (4) months later we returned to Costa Rica, this time to San Jose where Dr. Fernandez finished off the implants and Dr. Mora started working on the crowns. We removed all the old crowns and one week later Dr. Mora placed all the new crowns.
The first eight (8) teeth on the top and bottom are full porcelain and the rest porcelain over metal for strength. The results were amazing. I am now proud of my smile. Dr. Mora, Dr. Fernandez and his staff did a wonderful job. They worked around our vacation schedule, around time constraints while providing me with excellent and professional care. We recently traveled again to Costa Rica to enjoy the beauty of the country and met with Dr. Mora for one final check-up. The overall dental cost was less than a third of our $45,000 quote. I am writing this uncompensated recommendation in the hopes of helping others who need dental work and cannot afford United States prices. Hi Dr Mora,The results were great, very pleased and the cost from
$700 an implant from $2200 is a huge difference. It
was all done in a hospital surrounding, very clean!
The dentist spoke perfect english and also the
surgeon, I've told all my friends. I'm going back
sometime in November/08 for the final stage of the
implants. I enjoyed the whole experience very much, I
also traveled all around Costa Rica and the people are
friendly and the whether is good. I had 7 implants at
$700 each total of $5000.

Thank you for checking in on me. I'm doing very well. My two implants are performing great!. They're just like having my two natural teeth back in my mouth again. For the most part I totally forget I even have implants, since they work just as well as my original molars did. Your dentistry results are as good as your service was pleasant and professional. I won't hesitate to recommend you and Doctor Chan to anyone I know of who is considering Dental implants or for that matter any serious dental work. Of course that also means you should expect to see me again, the next time I have the need for dentistry services that are more than I care to pay for here in the US. Oh, I might add that the dental claim form I filed with my Dental insurance was accepted and I was reimbursed for 85% of the cost without any questions asked. 'My visit with Dr. Mora and Dr. Fernandez far
surpassed my expectations . We all have
fear of the pain and discomfort; however this part was
very minimal. I experienced a
small throb for a couple of hours. In 2 hours I was
eating as much ice cream as I
wanted and I went to the movies that evening. I took
only 1 of the 5 pain pills I was
given. My next concern was how long would I be in the
chair, well it wasn't much of a
concern after all, it only took about an hour to
complete the work I needed, which
included 2 teeth pulled, 2 post's installed for my
implants, some bone work and of course
the stitches. I went home and took a nap for 2 hours
and then I was up and doing pretty
much all the stuff i usually do, eating hard foods
took 4 days. In short it was a breeze
for me with 2 Doctors who were both fun and
informative. Talk to these guys you'll be
glad you did.

After doing my research, I was recommended to visit Dr. Alejandro Mora Lasso. My teeth needed a lot of work done. Here in United States the price was between 15 to 20 thousand dollars. A friend of mine told me about this packages he puts together where you visit Costa Rica and at the same time you get your dental work done.
Never the less, I paid 7 thousand dollars that not only included airline tickets, hotel, two meals a day and trip to the Guanacaste beach, but also my teeth are in a good shape as I wanted.
I definitely recommend Dr. Mora Lasso because he is a young modern dentist, and a visit to the beautiful Costa Rica . I am planning to go back next summer. Thanks Alejandro for a wonderful experience.

It's been at least 4 years since I wanted to get my teeth whitened. The reason I didn't do it before is because I live in Canada and it is definitely more expensive here.
